Engr. Md. Liaquat Ali, PEng is the Managing Director of Safetech Energy Services Limited. He is a certified Professional Engineer from the Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board (BPERB) since 2021. With over 31 years of robust practical experience in the Textile, Power, and LPG sectors, he has served both local and multinational companies. He accomplished his BSc Engineering degree in the Mechanical Department from CUET in 1995 (Batch 88th) and holds an MBA degree in Accounting and Information System (AIS) from Dhaka University.
Throughout his career, he has obtained diversified credentials and leadership roles. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from SREDA, a Certified Internal Auditor in IMS from BV, and an External Auditor under mutual agreement with BV. He serves as a Technical Member of BSTI for helping BDS and product standardization, a Safety Core Member of the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA), and a Lead Auditor for ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems). He is also enlisted as a registered engineer with RAJUK for Building Service Engineer specializing in Fire and EME systems (ECPS Enlistment).
Mr. Ali has made significant contributions to social and national awareness. He played a key role in the Moderation of the Bangladesh LPG Rules 2004 (Amended in 2016) and the Moderation of BERC LPG Codes 2023. He is engaged in free knowledge sharing with Engineering Graduates from CUET, SUST, and JUST, as well as community awareness via female participation in safety awareness seminars. He actively drives national sustainability efforts by helping industrial, commercial, and residential sectors share effective knowledge to promote and optimize energy efficiency, standards, and compliances.
On a global level, he contributes to global people by delivering messages via the World Liquid Gas Association platform through LPG Weeks and Month Safety Core Meetings. His efforts promote standardization, safety, and quality to enhance energy utilization effectively at every industry, ensuring safe manufacturing, safe supply, and quality products to global people. This confirms compliance to ensure customer satisfaction globally, so that investors, importers, and industry owners can produce products that satisfy regulatory bodies, consumers, and a sustainable economy for any country.
Mr. Ali has visited several countries including Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and China for product sourcing, technical collaboration, cooperation, and for attending different business seminars to develop his technical capability and contribute to his own country’s economic development and growth.
