Mohammed Saidul Islam has played a key role in developing Bangladesh’s LPG market. With 26 years of involvement in LPG industry, he has obtained diversified experience in different leadership roles of several multi-national companies.
His career started with Wesfarmers Kleenheat Elpiji Ltd., a joint-venture of Wesfarmers Energy, Australia and Elpiji Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia in June 2000 and since then has successfully driven the engineering, commercial and sales department. He served as ‘General Manager’ of Petredec Elpiji Ltd and was in charge of Bangladesh and Myanmar market. His performance & leadership skills earned him the position of ‘Director and CEO’ of another Sri Lankan multi-national “Laughs Gas Bangladesh Ltd”.
Currently he is working with few international LPG traders to sell LPG in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka market. Some traders that he has worked with are – Siam Gas, OQ Trading, Montfort, Slogal, and Trafigura.
Mr. Saidul Islam has successfully obtained his MBA degree from the prestigious National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2010. He also has an MBA from University of Dhaka (Faculty of Business), Bangladesh. He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in the year 1999.
Mohammed Saidul Islam has been an international speaker on LPG with several successful presentations globally. He has been trained throughout his career on the field of Oil and Gas, leadership, management, negotiation etc.
He is engaged with various technical and social bodies and has published quite a number of energy related articles. Mr. Saidul can speak in four international languages namely French, Japanese, English and Bengali.
